Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 January 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Synergystic Pte. Ltd., trading as Synergystic Training ("Synergystic", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal data when you use our website at synergystic.com (the "Site") and our project management training courses and related services (the "Service"). It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.

We are based in Singapore, and our handling of personal data is governed by the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the "PDPA"). By using the Site or the Service, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data as described in this Policy.

1. Personal Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  1. (a) Identity and contact data — your name and email address, provided when you register, enrol in or purchase a course, or contact us.
  2. (b) Transaction data — records of the courses you purchase, the amounts paid, and related order information.
  3. (c) Payment data — your payment card details are entered by you directly into our payment processor's secure checkout. We do not receive or store your payment card details; we receive only confirmation that a payment has succeeded, together with the payment reference identifiers needed to manage your order and any refund.
  4. (d) Technical data — your IP address and the country derived from it, which we record for each transaction to help detect and prevent fraud and misuse.
  5. (e) Communications data — the content of messages you send us, including through our contact form (your name, email, subject, and message).
  6. (f) Course participation data — when you attend a live class, which is delivered via Zoom, information such as your name, email, and audio/video participation is processed through that platform. We do not record our live classes. However, to verify and evidence attendance and participation as required for accreditation, the instructor may capture screenshots during live sessions showing participants present in the session. These screenshots are retained by us as attendance and participation records.

2. How We Use Your Personal Data

We use your personal data to:

  1. (a) provide, administer, and deliver the courses you purchase;
  2. (b) process payments and issue confirmations and receipts;
  3. (c) communicate with you about your enrolment, schedule, or enquiries;
  4. (d) detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, misuse, or security issues;
  5. (e) maintain records for accounting, audit, tax, and legal purposes;
  6. (f) improve our Site and Service; and
  7. (g) where you have not opted out, send you marketing or promotional communications about our courses. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in those messages or by contacting us.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use only strictly necessary and functional cookies to operate the Site and Service. In particular, we use a secure authentication cookie to manage administrator login. We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics or tracking cookies on our Site.

Some of our third-party service providers (for example, our hosting provider, payment processor, and video platform) may set their own functional or security cookies when you use the relevant parts of the Service; these are governed by those providers' own privacy policies.

We may in future use analytics cookies to understand how the Site is used and to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. If we do, we will update this Policy accordingly and, where required, seek your consent.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, although disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share personal data with trusted third-party service providers who process it on our behalf, only to the extent necessary to provide the Service. These include:

  1. (a) Stripe — payment processing;
  2. (b) Brevo — sending transactional and other emails;
  3. (c) Supabase — database and data storage;
  4. (d) Cloudflare — website hosting and content delivery;
  5. (e) Render — application hosting; and
  6. (f) Zoom — delivery of live online classes.

Each provider is permitted to use your personal data only to provide services to us, and is subject to its own privacy and security obligations. We do not sell your personal data.

We may also disclose personal data where required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of others.

5. International Transfers of Data

We operate from Singapore and serve participants internationally. Your personal data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in Singapore and in other countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have data protection laws different from those in your country. Where we transfer personal data outside Singapore, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard comparable to that required under the PDPA.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Service and to fulfil the purposes set out in this Policy. Because we maintain permanent records of transactions and enrolments for accounting, audit, tax, legal, and dispute-resolution purposes, certain data — including order and payment records — is retained on a long-term or permanent basis, even after a course has ended or an account is closed.

7. Your Rights

Subject to the PDPA, you may:

  1. (a) request access to the personal data we hold about you;
  2. (b) request that we correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete; and
  3. (c) request that we delete your personal data, which we will do except where we are required or permitted to retain it — for example, for legal, tax, audit, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate business purposes.

To make any such request, contact us at support@synergystic.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with the PDPA.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored on our systems. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Our Service is intended for working professionals and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Any changes will take effect when the updated Policy is posted on the Site. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.

11. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Policy or how we handle your personal data, please contact us at support@synergystic.com.
